A BRIEF HISTORY OF ESTABLISHMENT

By referring to the experience and success that has been achieved by the Yayasan Administrasi Indonesia in managing educational institutions as well as strong pressure from YAI Accounting Academy alumni who want to continue their studies to the Strata 1 (S-1) level, without leaving the existing ones, encouraging the Foundation The Indonesian Administration established the YAI College of Economics, abbreviated as STIE YAI, on April 1, 1985, through the Decree of the Chairperson of YAI concerning the establishment of STIE YAI No. SK. 01C/SK/YAI/IV/85.
On November 6, 1985, STIE Y.A.I got registered status for the Department of Accounting with the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 0512/0/1985 which was confirmed by the Notary Deed of NY. Yetty Taher, SH No. 31 dated February 14, 1994.
In the first year STIE Y.A.I accepted 517 students consisting of the semester I, III, V, VII students. Thanks to the hard work of the Academic Community and the progress made by STIE Y.A.I, on April 11, 1989, it received an increased status. Recognized by Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 021/0/19/1989, and on June 11, 1990, obtained equalized status through the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 0396/0/1990 and currently has an accounting undergraduate study program with A-accredited status based on the Decree of BAN-PT (National Accreditation Board for Higher Education) No. 164/SK/BAN-PT/Ak-XVI/S1/VIII/2013 dated August 3, 2013.
In facing the challenges of labor market demand in a more professional field, STIE Y.A.I do not remain silent. In 1991 STIE Y.A.I added 1 (one) new department, namely S-1 Management and D-3 Financial and Banking Management (MKP) with registered status based on Decree No. 289/0/1991. In 1994, these two study programs received an increase in status to be recognized by the Decree of the Director-General of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and Culture No. 307/DIKTI/Keo/1994 dated December 19, 1994, and on March 13, 1996, was granted the same status as the Decree of the Director-General of Higher Education Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia No. 67/DIKTI/KEP/1996.
Currently, the S-1 Management Study Program has been accredited A No. 025/BAN-PT/Ak-XI/S1/X/2008 dated October 17, 2008, and the D-3 MKP Study Program has been accredited B with the Decree of the National Accreditation Board No. 107/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/Dpl-III/IV/2014 dated 17 April 2014
In the 2003/2004 academic year, Y.A.I College of Economics opened a Masters in Accounting (Master of Accounting) program based on an operational permit from DIKTI-DEPDIKNAS No. 1438/D/T/2003 dated July 9, 2003. Currently, the Master of Accounting Study Program STIE Y.A.I have received accreditation B from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education based on the Decree of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education No. 177/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/M/IV/2014 dated 17 April 2014.
